About Us

Passionate adventurers.

Since 2000, our personal passions have taken us to some of the most spectacular locations for fun, relaxation and adventure.  During some of those trips, we found ourselves lacking the right gear – the right shoes, clothing, camera, or lens that would allow us to capture the moment forever.

Then it happened.   On one particular trip, everything came together: the location, the people, the wildlife and the equipment.  The experience was more meaningful because we were able to learn from local people, immerse ourselves in the beauty of the country and its nature and capture those moments with ease.  That experience created the spark of the Adventure Cooperative – provide as many of those opportunities to other like minded individuals so that they can tell their story through pictures and words.  By doing so, we believe these adventures will be preserved for others to enjoy.

We’re different.

The cooperative is built on relationships with adventurers and adventure professionals.  Rather than starting with a location, like so many other travel sites, we believe you should start with your adventure passion and see where it leads you.  As each Adventure Cooperative contributor blogs their personal passion and provides location and gear recommendations, other like minded individuals will benefit.  How many times have you gone out on an adventure and wished you would have done something a little bit different?  How many times have you told your adventure story to friends and family and wished they would experience it as you have?  Now is your chance to share your passion.

Finally, we believe in giving back.  We have had the pleasure of exploring the richness of many countries such as Costa Rica and want to preserve it for generations to come.  Proceeds from Adventure Cooperative advertising and partner revenue will be donated to non-profit organizations committed to sustaining environments that make these adventures possible.  You can help by first contributing content or by making your next gear purchase through one of our affiliates.
